SRIKANT KANOI He likes to dabble in all things new, and green-field opportunities always excite him. Always the one to scale exciting and stimulating new horizons, his career graph is a testimony to the same. From starting a Garden Centre & Tissue Culture Laboratory in 1989 to setting up one of India’s first Greenhouse Floriculture Projects, to importing planting material and undergoing training in farms in Holland and having Dutch & IIHR Consultants, & subsequent Wholesale Floral Depots across the 4 corners of India, to setting up Wedding Franchises in Chennai & Coimbatore, to becoming a Wedding Planner, an Event Curator, a Venue Specialist, a bespoke Floral Designer, a Mentor & Strategist, a Social Media Influencer, and a much sought after Speaker in Summits & Conclaves today, the journey has been long and exciting, gathering invaluable experience in all aspects in the Floral World. Hailing from a Family who are pioneers in Tea in India, he decided to create his niche in the World of Flowers at the tender age of 22 by setting up India's first Greenhouse Floriculture projects in Bangalore, along with a Garden Centre & a Tissue Culture Lab in Kolkata in 1989 for production of the initial planting material. When production reached a peak, and demand was low despite sending regular consignments across India, he went a step further and opened Wholesale Flower Depots across Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata & Bangalore. His project tanked, but his romance with flowers did not, and he soon moved into the wedding industry in 1999, taking Bangalore by storm. And by 2002, he had 2 Wedding Franchises in the cities of Chennai & Coimbatore added to his repertoire. Never someone to shirk responsibility, he has donned many hats across various Associations. He is someone who hates controversies, stands firm on ethics, and bends back to make others feel happy. His mantra is simple. Always appreciate and celebrate the positives in others and forget the rest. And his motto is “If you wake up without a Dream, Go back to sleep.” He is the founding Vice President of the Karnataka Event Management Association, the Director of the Grower Flower Council of India, the Vice President of the India Florist Association, the Chapter Head at International Association of Destination Wedding Professionals the founder of VenueInfluencer.com, the founder of KDB Global Artists, the Co-founder of Brandfluenzers, and the CEO of Nupur Dreamz & Ethereal Celebration Management. Connected with the respective Industry Associations & the ever-growing Flower Industry for over 3 decades now, he is earnestly working with new Destinations across the World, the upscale Venue Owners and Luxury Hotel properties, the many State, National & International Tourism Boards, the growing tribe of Influencers & Bloggers, the best of International Artists, the exotic Flower Growers, the discerning Floral Designers, and the responsible Wedding Planners, to ensure the choicest of fresh flowers are used to design aesthetically breathtaking sets at the many mesmerizing venues, thereby making his valuable clients’ special day, a truly memorable one.
